Funeral of Failures: description

If you are experiencing a run of bad luck and feel fortune has turned away from you, you may need to reset under the supervision of monks. Just as you reboot your phone or computer, you can reboot your destiny.

Break the string of failures – simply bury them!

The "Fails Funeral Ritual Thailand" ceremony allows you to be reborn, clear your karma, leave behind everything that hinders you, and enter a new life where fortune (perhaps) will be on your side.

Experienced monks will perform the ancient "Funeral of Failures" ritual for karma purification, using coffins, ancient mantras, blessings, protection from misfortune, sprinkling with holy water, and tying a sai sin rope for good luck.

For those who have experienced a series of setbacks and want to start over, one Thai temple offers an unusual solution: to "rehearse" death with a mock funeral, including lying in a coffin.

In the White Temple of Pattaya, a daily ritual called the Funeral of Failures is performed to bring good luck.

Participants in a recent ceremony stood in front of their assigned coffins, holding flowers and praying for their bad luck to be removed and for blessings to follow.

A small donation to the monks covers the flowers, a white sheet, and the set of services.

“First, we pray to wash away all the bad. It will go away when the monk covers the coffin with a sheet,” said the monk conducting the ceremonies.

The monk then turns the sheet over and pulls it back, as if drawing in good things. First, failures are pushed away, and then all the good is welcomed.

While the participants lie in the coffins, the monks chant prayers. Afterwards, the guests rise and leave so the monk can sanctify them with holy water.
