Tour Description
“Search for Sapphires” is a new author’s adventure program that combines nature, spirituality, and real gem mining.
All locations are close to Pattaya — no long journeys, maximum impressions.
Each participant can take home up to three gemstones personally found during the mining experience!
At the start of the day, we ascend a mountain by funicular to visit a Buddhist shrine, where we perform a special ritual to attract wealth.
Then we head to the sapphire mines, where you’ll have a chance to extract real gemstones in the traditional way.
After your mining adventure, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch in a floating restaurant located in a picturesque sea bay — surrounded by mangrove forests and oyster farms.
A short boat trip follows, where you’ll explore mangrove channels and feed giant predatory fish.
In the afternoon, visit the Chonburi gem market, known throughout Thailand. On weekends, traders from around the world (Arab countries, Israel, South Africa, the Netherlands) come here in search of rare stones — rubies, sapphires, and amethysts — often sold at bargain prices.
The tour concludes with a visit to the newly built “Sapphire Temple”, followed by sunset at the panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.
