Tour Description
Just an hour’s drive from Pattaya lies a remarkable monastery named after Dr. Jivaka, the legendary Indian healer who taught the art of Ayurvedic massage.
This Herbal Tour is designed for those truly interested in natural healing and authentic Thai traditional medicine. The program takes place in a peaceful temple surrounded by nature and offers a full rejuvenating experience.
During the visit, you’ll enjoy a herbal sauna and a two-hour massage performed by monk students who specialize in traditional Thai and herbal techniques. Their method differs from typical salon massage in Pattaya and is especially beneficial for those with back or joint problems.
After the massage, take part in a tea tasting and a master class on using herbal pouches for massage. The program ends with a special blessing ceremony with the head monk for good health and good fortune – with small gifts from the monastery.
This is a spiritual and healing retreat, not a luxury spa. Guests should be prepared for simple conditions and bring their own towel and comfortable clothes for the massage (a T-shirt is recommended).
On the temple grounds, you’ll also find a lake full of giant fish, which you can feed before or after lunch.
