River Kwai Ayutthaya - Description

River Kwai Ayutthaya - the most popular tour of Pattaya on the River Kwai, combined with the ancient capital of Siam Ayutthaya.

Ayutthaya

First of all, you will go to Ayutthaya and visit the temple and the statue of the hero of Thailand - King Naresuan. He liberated the country from the Burmese, expanded the borders of the then Siam to the largest size.

Near the monastery there is a beautiful garden and a lake from which you can see a stunning holy monument. This majestic relic was erected by the hero-king himself in honor of the victory in the war. There is also a giant reclining Buddha statue.

Temples

Then you will see Wat Phra Mahat, famous throughout Thailand thanks to the head of the Buddha statue, which was raised from the ground by the roots of a sacred tree.

During the war with neighboring Burma, the temple was completely destroyed, the invaders cut off the heads of all the statues, but one of them was raised above the ground, exposing the most beautiful phenomenon.

The last temple of Wat Phra Sisanpet. It is considered the largest in Ayutthaya. Once there was a statue of Buddha covered with a pile of gold, but the Burmese conquerors melted down all the precious metal.

Nearby is Phra Mongkol Bopit. During the invasion of the enemy from the north, it was destroyed, but now restored. Inside is a huge gilded bronze Buddha.
This concludes your visit to Ayutthaya and you head to the Erawan National Park.

Waterfall

Erawan waterfall. They named it so because the shape is similar to the mythical Erawan elephant with three heads. The color of the water in the waterfalls varies from emerald to turquoise.

On Erawan, you can get to the top level, but do not forget to bring comfortable shoes with you. It is very beautiful and there are few tourists.
There are fish in each level in a small lake. The water is clear, these fish are perfectly visible.

Elephants

Then lunch, then the elephant village. Riding gray giants down the river on a steep mountainside. Hold on tight and don't fall off the elephant into the river.
