River Kwai Ayutthaya - Description
River Kwai Ayutthaya - the most popular tour of Pattaya on the River Kwai, combined with the ancient capital of Siam Ayutthaya.
Ayutthaya
The first thing you will go to Ayutthaya and visit the temple and the remains of a statue of a hero of Thailand - King Naresuan. He cleansed the country of Burmese, expanded the boundaries of the then Siam to the largest size ever.
Near the monastery there is a beautiful garden and a lake, from which you can see the stunning holy monument. This majestic relic erected by the same hero - the king in honor of victory in the war. There is also a giant statue of a reclining Buddha.
Temples
Then you will see Wat Phra Mahat, famous throughout Thailand, because of the head of a Buddha statue, which was raised from the ground roots of the sacred tree.
During the war with neighboring Burma, the temple was completely destroyed, the invaders cut off the heads of all the statues, but one of them has been lifted up from the earth, revealing the most wonderful phenomenon.
The last temple of Wat Phra Sisanpet. It is considered the largest in Ayutthaya. There once stood a statue of Buddha, covered with a pile of gold, but the Burmese conquerors melted all the precious metal.
Nearby is Phra Mongkol Bopit. During the invasion of the enemy from the north, he was destroyed, but is now restored. Inside is a huge gilded bronze Buddha.
A visit to Ayutthaya ends here, and you are heading to Erawan National Park.
Waterfall
Erawan Waterfall. They named it so because the shape is similar to the mythical elephant Erawan with three heads. The color of water in the falls varies from emerald to turquoise.
On Erawan you can get to the top level, but do not forget to bring comfortable shoes. It is very beautiful and there are few tourists.
At each level, in a small lake is found fish. The water is clear, these fish are perfectly visible.
Elephants
Then lunch, then elephant village. While walking on the gray giants down the river on a steep mountainside, hold on tight and do not fall from an elephant into the river.
After walking elephant show. Very cool. Elephants dance, doing massage, twist hula hoops, running to the store to shop.
Hotel on the Water
Then we arrive at the Kwai Noi Resort Hotel on the river. Settlement in a bungalow. You can choose a house on the ground.
The next day after breakfast, visit the meadow, where you will meet a herd of monkeys. You can treat them with bananas and cucumbers and take pictures.
In addition to the monkeys, there is a small chapel and a monk who, if you like, will give you a talisman for good luck.
Waterfall Sayok Noi and spring sources
Then we go swimming in another waterfall Sayok Yai.
The next item is thermal springs. Three baths with different water temperatures.
Take a swim, and the beneficial effect is felt in about a minute. Hot mineral baths increase vitality and heal the body.
After sources visit the medical store and tea shop. Many medicines can only be found here.
River Kwai. Rafting
After tasting tea, rafting down the River Kwai on rafts or in vests.
Road of Death
After lunch and the last point - the bridge over the Kwai, which was built by prisoners of war forces (Anglo-Saxon). The hardest of hard labor conditions, tropical climate, a variety of insects, vectors of serious diseases, aggressive animals contributed to the high mortality rate.
