Kanchanaburi waterfalls

Brutal multi-meter waterfalls that fall with a deafening roar onto the rocky bottom of the river - this is all in the province of Kanchanaburi, north of Pattaya.

To the north of the city of Kanchanaburi begins a vast mountainous area, famous for its rushing rivers and surprisingly beautiful waterfalls.

There are at least four of these cascading waterfalls, which are among the most impressive waterfalls in central Thailand. And we will visit them.

Sai Yok Noi waterfall.

Also known as Khao Phang Falls. This low, but extremely picturesque waterfall literally captivates the eye. And you can sit in the shade for a long time and look at the streams of falling water, thinking about something beautiful. There are usually a lot of people, mostly locals, splashing in the waterfall.

If you go up the path to the right of the waterfall, you will see a small cave in which you can hide at full height. Near the waterfall there is a pleasant area for a walk. Unusual trees and flowers, murmuring water.

Pha Tad Waterfall

Located near the Thai-Burmese railway, it attracts visitors with its emerald-colored water and surrounding rainforest. This is a single-level large waterfall, the height of the water fall is 25 meters.

Sai Yok Yai waterfall.

The waterfall is most spectacular from September to December. Sai Yok Yai Falls consists of several branches flowing into the Kwai Noi River. The height of the waterfalls is ~8-9 meters. The park area is covered with dense forests of majestic teak wood. An abundance of small mammals such as squirrels, bats and deer can also be found here, as well as numerous species of birds.

Erawan waterfall.

Erawan is the most beautiful waterfall and the main attraction of the national park of the same name. Many people come to Erawan Falls on an excursion from Bangkok and Pattaya.

Erawan Falls consists of 7 cascades, the total length of the water flow is 1.5 km. The waterfall is well suited for visiting by tourists; roads are laid to all cascades, signs are installed, there is a large parking lot, near which there are shops and restaurants.
